It was a wonderful experience for our students to work with a living, local, Melbourne composer. Andrew made the time to personally meet all the students and asked them what they liked and incorporated those ideas into the composition. He was always available to tweak anything that was out of range or a bit too tricky…The talents of Andrew were employed to create something bespoke…Each movement was melodic and rhythmically interesting and there were lots of opportunities for learning!…There were also opportunities to improvise. Andrew made this fun and simple by giving the students just a couple of notes and simple rhythmic options to choose from.
