The Andrew Harrison Sextet
Stephen Hall: trumpet
Murray Jamieson: tenor sax
Adrian Sherriff: bass trombone
Andrew Harrison: piano
Ben Harmsen: bass
Roby Corelli: drums
Mello Jello was inspired by the frenetic energy of American punk band The Dead Kennedys, as well as the national dance of Argentina, the tango. The tune rocks and rumbles along, careering like a drunk sailor between these two seemingly disparate worlds.
I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles:
The Andrew Harrison Sextet
Andrew Piper: trumpet
Dirk Zeylmans: tenor sax
Timothy Long: trombone
Andrew Harrison: piano
Scott Dodd: bass
Phil Collings: drums
This popular song from the First World War era was one of my grandfather's favourite songs, and one that he used to sing often. He died at the end of 1994, six months short of his 100th birthday. I arranged the tune in memory of him.
